Editorial Standards
Welder Guru exists to help readers make safer, better-informed welding equipment decisions. To earn that trust, we hold ourselves to the following standards on every article and tool.
1. No fake hands-on tests
We describe welders at the category level. We do not claim to have welded with every product we mention. If we ever publish a true hands-on long-term review of a specific machine, it will be explicitly labelled as such and dated.
2. No fake prices, ratings, or specs
Prices, star ratings, and exact technical specifications belong on Amazon and the manufacturer’s page. We link out so you see live data, never invented numbers. Amperage ranges and duty-cycle figures we cite in calculators are educational estimates, always with a reminder to verify in the machine’s manual.
3. Safety-first everywhere
Every tool result, every buying guide, and every checklist includes PPE, ventilation, and (where relevant) electrical-safety reminders. We never recommend welding shortcuts that defeat manufacturer safety design, and we never present structural- or pressure-vessel welding guidance.
4. Transparent affiliate disclosure
As an Amazon Associate, WelderGuru.com may earn from qualifying purchases. Every Amazon link uses rel="nofollow sponsored noopener" and target="_blank". We disclose this relationship on product blocks, in the footer, and on a dedicated disclosure page.
5. Updated dates & corrections
Pages carry a “Last reviewed” date so you know how fresh the guidance is. If you spot an error, our corrections policy commits us to updating affected pages — within 48 hours for safety-critical issues.
6. Privacy of tool data
Quiz answers, checklists, comparisons, and maintenance logs are stored in your browser’s local storage only. We do not transmit them to our servers. See Data Privacy for Tools.
